Fossil Ammonite Orthoceras single piece.

Dating from the Cretaceous Period at over 120 million years old, this gorgeous Madagascan Ammonite is an exciting piece of history.

This fossil consists of an Ammonite cut in half and polished to reveal it’s generous colours, internal caves and patterns.

Orthoceras fossils are an of extinct genus of nautiloid cephalopod. Orthoceras animals comprised of a solid shell, in which the soft body of the animal inhabited. This is a genuine fossil that is over 50 million years old.

The Ammonite is approximately 13cm long, 10cm wide and 1cm thick and weighs approximately 270g. The stand as shown in the photographs comes complimentary with this purchase.

Each stone and crystal are natural and unique in size, shape and colour. They may come with small imperfections as part of their natural beauty.
