Fossil Ammonite Orthoceras pair.

Dating from the Cretaceous Period at over 120 million years old, this gorgeous Madagascan Ammonite Pair is an exciting piece of history.

These fossils consist of an Ammonite cut in half and polished to create a gorgeous pair. This matching pair have been cut in half and then polished on one side to reveal it’s generous colours, internal caves and patterns.

Orthoceras fossils are an of extinct genus of nautiloid cephalopod. Orthoceras animals comprised of a solid shell, in which the soft body of the animal inhabited. This is a genuine fossil that is over 50 million years old.

The Ammonite pair are each approximately 8cm long, 10cm wide and 1cm thick and weigh approximately 220g each. The stand as shown in the photographs comes complimentary with this purchase.

Each stone and crystal are natural and unique in size, shape and colour. They may come with small imperfections as part of their natural beauty.
